Short answer: StrokeGrid is a free Pinyin input helper that converts tone-free Mandarin Pinyin into Traditional Chinese character and complete phrase suggestions. Type ni hao, mama or xuexi, then choose 你好, 媽媽 or 學習. No Chinese keyboard or app installation is required.
Each suggestion includes tone-marked Pinyin and a short English meaning to help learners choose confidently. StrokeGrid returns Traditional Chinese suggestions immediately; Windows can also support Traditional Chinese Hanyu Pinyin, but it requires choosing that layout in Microsoft Bopomofo settings.
